Rhinestones and Pine Cones

There is much beauty to be seen in things both synthetic and natural. It is necessary to appreciate both for their respective differences; the synthetic marks the progress of man and shows what he is capable of, while the natural shows his limitations. The spectacular lights and skyscrapers of big cities exemplify human achievement. The majestic mountains, powerful oceans, and serene atmosphere of farms and forests portray a beauty far beyond that which humans are capable of creating. However, these natural wonders do not dilute the beauty of man-made structures. Rather, they amplify them through stark contrast. Likewise, the sense of peacefulness found in open country and vast oceans can most properly be appreciated when compared to bustling cities. Therefore, one should learn to appreciate both the beauty found in cities and in nature. It is not wrong to prefer one over the other, but it is wise to appreciate both the glamorous and simplistic sides of beauty. This blog seeks to do just that.
